In results knee is unable to cushion stress to the joint and pain without swelling, stiffness and movement occurs. Other factors like patients with diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, hemophilia, gout etc may also worsens knee joints.

Common symptoms:

Factors to consider in Knee Problems:

Types of knee replacement:

When all compartments in the knee are worn out

Partial Knee Replacement:- In this procedure only the part of knee is replaced which is worn out. Knee is divided into three components-Medial compartment(inner side), Lateral (outer part) and Patellofemoral compartment(front part between knee cap and thighbone). Any of the compartment alone is damaged or affected, in these condition we will perform that surgery.

Total Hip replacement:- Also called the Arthroplasty, It’s as surgical procedure done to replaced or removed disease part of the hip joint. Variety of factors may lead to destruction of hip joint like Osteoarthritis, trauma of the joint, rheumatoid arthiritis, hip dysplasias and avascular necrosis.

Types of Hip Replacement

Total Hip Replacement:- It indicates when both ball and cup gets worn out.

Shoulder joint: also called glenohumeral joint. It consists of three bones: scapula9shoulder blade), Clavicle(collarbone) and humerus(upper arm bone). All these bones work together and fits into glenoid socket and embraced by the rotator cuff muscles.

Symptoms of shoulder joint:

Treatment options :

Shoulder Replacement: It’s with a prosthetic joint. This surgery recommended to increase range of motion and painful arthritic shoulder. Shoulder replacement can be done by two methods;- Total replacement and Partial Replacement.

Rotator Cuff:- It is designed to reduce the shoulder pain by repairing the rotator cuff. When tissue around the shoulder joint gets damaged, this surgery is perform to repair the tissue of injured shoulder. If partial tear, then can perform smoothing procedure called debridement.

Shoulder Arthroscopy: Rotator cuff tears repairs with the help of arthroscope

Spine Surgery

Spinal Disc Replacement: it involves replacing inter vertebral disc9lumbar or cervical) with a prosthesis. Disc replacement is done to reduce the pain and other neurological symptoms associated with nerve compression.

Spine Fusion and Fixation Surgery; is a permanently connect two or more vertebra in your spine eliminating motion between them. Bone graft stimulates the growth of new bone. Metal plates, screws, and rods are used to ensure correct positioning between vertebra which helps in fusion and increase the rate regeneration of spine.

Patient with following problems recommend spinal fusion.

Ballon Kyphoplasty; it’s the treatment for painful vertebral compression fractures of spine as a result of osteoporosis, cancer or bening lesions. Orthopedic ballon is used to elevate fractured vertebra in an attempt to return on correct position. Bone cement is placed to stabilize the fracture
